Let us help you through life's most challenging times

Do you find yourself

Overwhelmed by sadness and despair

after the loss of a loved one? This is a natural response to loss, but persistent and intense sadness can make it difficult to function in daily life. Grief therapy can provide a safe space to process these emotions and develop healthy coping mechanisms.

Struggling to cope

with daily tasks and responsibilities? Grief can drain your energy and motivation, making even simple tasks feel overwhelming. Therapy can help you develop strategies to manage these challenges and gradually regain a sense of normalcy.

Feeling isolated and alone

in your grief? It's common to feel disconnected from others after a loss, even when surrounded by loved ones. Grief therapy can provide a supportive environment to share your experiences and connect with others who understand.

Experiencing physical symptoms

like difficulty sleeping, changes in appetite, or fatigue? Grief can manifest in physical ways. Therapy can help you address these symptoms and develop healthy self-care practices.

What Is Grief and Bereavement Therapy ?

is a form of psychotherapy that aims to help people cope with the physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive responses to loss. These experiences are commonly thought to be brought on by a loved person’s death, but may more broadly be understood as shaped by any significant life-altering loss (e.g., divorce, home foreclosure, or job loss)

The Internal Work Of Grief

All losses can be viewed as the death of something. A breakup is the death of a relationship; A divorce is the death of the marriage; a job loss is the death of that paycheck, with those people, in that place. These losses all involve grief; however, the death of a loved one is often the most harrowing experience anyone can ever go through. Losing someone you love can be traumatic and life-altering.

The internal work of grief is a process and a journey. It does not end on a particular day, and there is no right way of grieving. The stages of grief are not linear and don’t follow a specific order.

Overthink our feelings

When we grieve, we often overthink our feelings, create stories around our grief and judge our emotions and how we grieve. The only way out of the pain is through the pain, and this happens in your own time and in your own way.

Get stuck in the grief

Symptoms of depression and anxiety can develop and prevent us from enjoying life or carrying out daily activities. Sometimes, the grieving process can become all-consuming, preventing us from moving forward. We get stuck in the grief, and it becomes the focus of our lives to the point where all sense of purpose and direction.

A few common symptoms in these categories are:

Physical

  • Crying and sighing
  • Headaches
  • Loss of appetite
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Weakness
  • Fatigue

Emotional

  • Feelings of sadness and yearning
  • Feelings of worry or anger
  • Feelings of frustration or guilt

Social

  • Feeling detached from others
  • Self-isolation from social contact
  • Behaving in ways that are not normal for you

Accepting loss and dealing with the emotions that come with it is a painful process. Therapy can help you turn post-traumatic stress into post-traumatic growth, find peace, remember with more love than pain, and establish a new relationship with your loved one.

We understand that everyone’s grief journey is unique. Our personalized approach to grief therapy offers a safe and supportive space to explore your feelings and work through your loss.
